UK Prepared to Employ Frozen Russia's Holdings to Support the Ukrainian Defense

The United Kingdom is ready to advance with using the full worth of seized Russia's holdings to aid Ukraine's defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a collective announcement, the heads of state of the United Kingdom, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this coordinated action would heighten pressure on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and persuade Russia to come to the table.

They added that the decision would be implemented in strong partnership with the US.

United Kingdom restrictions have immobilized in excess of £25bn of Russian resources since Moscow launched its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022.
