Renowned Performer Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Appearances in Seinfeld and The Middle, Has Died at Age 60.

US actor Finn, who was seen in beloved programs such as "Friends", Seinfeld and "The Middle", has died at 60 years old.

The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in Los Angeles this Monday following treatment for cancer since 2022, as reported by media reports.

"Pat Finn never met a stranger - only friends he hadn't encountered," his family said in a message.

They continued that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with joy and exuberance".

An Extensive Television Career

His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in 1995, where he portrayed the titular character's brother.

He was also seen in a regular part on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.

He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a social organizer known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.

Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on several popular shows, such as:

  • "King of Queens"
  • "Friends"
  • That '70s Show
  • "House"

His most famous role for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons of the show from 2011 to 2018.

His film credits include "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".

Beyond the Screen

Away from his on-screen roles, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.

He was involved with a comedy group of six named "Beer Shark Mice".

"Pat taught, supported, and inspired countless students during his career and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Paying homage, peer Richard Kind said there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, grounded individual you could encounter".

"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A wonderful father and man," he shared on social media.

The actor is remembered by his spouse Donna, three children, and his parents and siblings.
